Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award
The Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award is designed for smaller pools where their PSOP hasn't called for fully qualified Lifeguards to supervise the pool. We have hotels and care homes using this award to enhance the safety of their pools
The Aquatic Therapy Shallow Pool Rescue Award is similar, but tailored hydrotherapy pools.
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
The NPLQ is the UK's leading lifeguarding qualification and over 45,000 NPLQs are awarded every year.
These lifeguards are key to safety on poolside and many use the NPLQ as an entry into working in the leisure industry.
Lifeguards are trained in pool operations, teamwork, customer care, first aid, lifesaving skills, resuscitation and spinal injury management.
Safety Award for Swimming Teacher's
The STA's equivalent to the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches. The Safety Award for Swimming Teacher's is ideal for the Swimming Teacher particularly those teaching without lifeguards on poolside. The Award equips the teacher with essential rescue skills, as well as ways to maintain a safer environment for their swimmers.
STA Level 2 in Pool Lifeguarding
Fully endorsed by CIMSPA the STA Pool Lifeguard is an accepted qualification for those working as lifeguards. Valid for 3 years.
STA Pool Emergency Responder
Ideal for smaller pools, the Pool Emergency Responder is designed for pools where the Risk Assessment doesn't require full time poolside supervision. Perfect for hotel and health clubs, it is also suitable for other staff in larger leisure centres supporting the lifeguards.
